Palm Sunday (2012)

The next year of Fukushima nuclear accident, I started early morning walks since I couldn’t sleep well at night.
While walking, I often took pictures of landscapes with palm trees.
The time when palm trees were popular choice for home gardening in Japan was period of high growth.
It was the time that many Japanese dreamed that the progress of technology brought them “A bright future and rich life”.
It was also the time Fukushima prefecture established nuclear power plant, and started operations.
I feel as if palm trees are ruins of that day.
